Tip of the Week: Scheduling Interview Slots at the CDC

Employers are now back on campus with Bucknell’s recruiting season in full swing this week. We want to remind you that if you are applying to positions on the BRIDGE where the company is coming to campus to interview, you will want to check your e-mail OFTEN and sign up for a slot as soon as you receive the e-mail notification. What is OCR?

On-Campus Recruiting, also known as OCR, provides Bucknell students the opportunity to interview with employers who visit the Career Center during the Fall and Spring semesters. Full-time entry-level jobs and summer internships, primarily in business and technical fields, are offered through the OCR program. OCR interviews occur from mid September through mid November for the Fall semester and late January through mid April for the Spring semester. Based on a NACE (National Association of Colleges and Employers) 2010 Student Survey, there is a strong link between the use of career services and a student’s ability to get a job offer. Here is what the results revealed: The more frequently a senior used career services, the more likely he/she would receive a job offer.
