Alumni Talk and Lunch: Federal Hiring – Understanding the Process

Ali (Zimmerer) Rivera ’08, Contract Specialist, Department of Homeland Security will be back on campus for Homecoming and is hosting a talk and luncheon outlining the Federal Hiring Process on Friday, October 21 at Noon in the Willard Smith Library (Vaughn Literature Building). Capitol Hill Internship Program

The Capitol Hill Internship Program is a competitive summer internship program that provides a stipend of $300 per week up to $3,000 for students able to secure a Capitol Hill internship provided the internship is unpaid and not for academic credit. Congrats to the 2011 BPIP Internship Fund Recipients!

40 remarkably hardworking students are the happy recipients of a stipend that will help them gain valuable experience from a non-paid internship in the non-profit or public sectors.  The BPIP Internship stipend is funded entirely through the generous donations of alumni, parents and friends of Bucknell. Since it’s founding in 2001, the BPIP Internship Fund has assisted over 200 students in pursuing internship experiences in the public interest sector.
