So they were creative and economical! In a similar vein the Wall Street Journal features an article today entitled “How to Create Your Own Summer Internship.” The article, subtitled “Creating Internships Out of Thin Air,” really caught my […]

Get Off Facebook and Get an Internship!

A lot of articles are now stating that employers are going to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social media outlets to search for viable talent. So, does that mean that all you have to do is set a status message that you’re looking for a job and then add your resume to your profile? NO! Believe it or not employers are not going to be banging down your door if you’re a passive job hunter like that. Internships are still the way to go if you want to get noticed. Internships not only help you to gain relevant experience, but […]

Earth Day Internships from One Day, One Internship

Green Mountain Energy Internships By Willy Franzen on Thursday, April 22, 2010 So, I don’t think that I’ve taken note of Earth Day since elementary school… or last year when I wrote a post about New Leaf Paper. Yes, I may seem a bit ambivalent about a holiday started by hippies, but I really do care about the environment (so much though that I’m taking a few days off next week to head out into the woods and go fishing). Today is the 40th Earth Day, and I have to say it’s amazing how far we’ve come in fighting pollution. […]

In Honor of Earth Day: Here’s How to Find a Green Job

Happy Earth Day! Now here’s how to find a green job… Much of the world marks the 41st annual Earth Day today.
