Alumni Talk and Lunch: Federal Hiring – Understanding the Process

Ali (Zimmerer) Rivera ’08, Contract Specialist, Department of Homeland Security will be back on campus for Homecoming and is hosting a talk and luncheon outlining the Federal Hiring Process on Friday, October 21 at Noon in the Willard Smith Library (Vaughn Literature Building). Capitol Hill Internship Program

The Capitol Hill Internship Program is a competitive summer internship program that provides a stipend of $300 per week up to $3,000 for students able to secure a Capitol Hill internship provided the internship is unpaid and not for academic credit. On Wednesday, April 13th at 7pm in Trout Auditorium, Robert F. Wescott ’77 will be speaking about his experience developing economic policy for President Clinton. From 1999 until 2001, Robert F. Wescott ’77 served as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy at the White House. As the Senior International Economic Adviser to President Clinton, he helped develop administration policies toward G-7 countries, Russia, China, India, other key emerging-market economies and the international financial system.
