Become the Bucknell Intern Queen or King!

The Intern Queen, also known as Lauren Berger, came to campus in February of 2010 to give a great talk about – you guessed it – internships! We really loved her talk (you can read about it here) and so when I saw an opportunity for campus ambassadors I thought it was worthy of sharing. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design but has since become more broad and even bigger. TEDTalks began as a simple attempt to share what happens at TED with the world. Under the moniker “ideas worth spreading,” talks were released online, with the goal of giving everyone on-demand access to the world’s most inspiring voice; this too has grown exponentially. TEDTalks has […]

Missy Gutkowski – a person of the year!

It must have been the article profiling Missy that made this week’s Bucknellian super hot, so hot that it made issues fly off the stands. So fast that it concerned The Bucknellian staff. They posted on Facebook: Most of the copies of our print edition for this week have gone missing, and we suspect that they were stolen. We are currently investigating, but I don’t know when or if more copies will become available.x Now, we know that Bucknell students would never do something like this. Art History Majors – Pay Attention!

Always wonder what you can do with your major? Well…maybe you can become the next Queen of England! It’s the Royal Wedding day and you can bet that this office full of women was truly excited this morning, some more than others of course. As usual I just had to find a way to squeeze career advice in and here’s my advise: never let your major limit what you do! Kate and Prince William were both Art History majors and now will become new figureheads in a long line of obsolete royalty and they will, no doubt, have paintings commissioned […]
