Have you ever wanted to be more involved on campus? Have you wanted a campus job that pays well, fits easily to your schedule, and helps promote professionalism? If so, the Career Development Center is the place to work! Not only do you get to reap the benefits of enhancing your own career decision-making, but you can also have first-hand access to resources in addition to having instant knowledge of every networking event on campus! From editing resumes during “Quick Questions” or Resumania, to scheduling appointments, to helping organize job fairs, to enjoying the excess food from events, to gaining insight into every day happenings within the CDC – this job is never boring. You will never have the same task to do every day. Best of all, you will be surrounded by a supportive staff willing to help you if you ever do not know the answer to a question (even after the helpful orientation)! Through my experience thus far with the job, I have met alumni, employers, and students alike that I would not have had the chance to do encounter otherwise. In summary, the relationships, information, opportunities, and skill sets that come with working in the Career Development Center are valuable assets and tools you will not get anywhere else on campus!
