How did it become the last week in November?! If you are wondering the same thing and starting to worry about not having an internship lined up…DON’T!
We still have a ton of internships listed on the BRIDGE and they keep rolling in from parents, alumni and friends (not to mention employers!) so make sure you are checking the recently posted jobs or using the “one-click” searches to find all the opportunities that are listed. Remember that internships (and jobs) are listed by application deadline many of which fall on Mondays. If you experience any difficulties using the BRIDGE keep in mind you can always stop by our office for Quick Questions (Monday – Friday, 1:30 – 3:30 pm) or BRIDGE Quick Questions (Monday – Friday, 3:00 – 4:00 pm). Or check out some of our posts on the blog here, here or here, just to point out a few.
We will also be having some key workshops in the next 2 weeks for you. Now, unfortunately due to scheduling, they are on the same date and time so we are offering each of them twice for those of you who may like to go to both.
So the two workshops below will both be held on Wednesday 11/30 at Noon AND Tuesday 12/6 at Noon. Got that? OK good.
- Internships 101 will provide information about the internship search process and the CDC resources you will need to succeed.
Sessions: 11/30, Noon, ELC Center Room; 12/6, Noon, ELC Walls Lounge - BPIP Internship Fund Info Sessions are for those hoping to go into the non-profit sector and provides financial support for undergraduate students (first-year students, sophomores, and juniors), who have secured full-time, unpaid summer internships with non-profit organization and government offices. The application process is competitive and the deadline will be in March 2012, for the summer 2012.
Sessions: 11/30, Noon, ELC 217; 12/6, Noon, ELC 217
