Dr. William Durland ’53 will share his experiences as a human rights lawyer specializing in international, constitutional, and governmental law. He is presently practicing public interest law as the Executive Director of the Center on Law and Human Rights. The Center’s cases have been primarily in the areas of conscientious objection, civil disobedience, soldiers’ rights, homelessness, and international settlement of disputes, in particular in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He recently served on the Board of the Health Care for All Colorado organization and as legislative coordinator, lobbying for effective state and national legislation.
