Come and enjoy a discussion with Kate Bowen, B.S. in Biology ’12, as she discusses her path from an undergraduate student-athlete to current role as a 4th year Ph.D. Nutritional Sciences student at Penn State.
Kate will discuss the Penn State Nutritional Sciences graduate program, with broad research areas ranging from basic cellular and molecular mechanisms of nutrients to applied community health promotion programs.
Kate will emphasize the research projects within the Cardiometabolic Nutrition Research Laboratory and describe ongoing clinical studies on the effects of dietary components on cardiovascular disease risk factors.
