- Program for Undergraduate Research (PUR) – Info session 1/23, deadline February 5th
- In just three short weeks – on February 6th – students’ applications for the Program for Undergraduate Research (PUR) are due. PUR provides $3,000, as well as housing, to students who work closely with a faculty mentor for at least 8 weeks during the summer in conducting research or pursuing scholarly or creative projects. PUR provides faculty supervisors with $500 per student for up to two students. Detailed information and application can be found on this website. To assist students in preparing strong proposals consider attending this info session on Tue Jan 23, 5–6:00 pm in ACWS 114. - Summer Research Fellowships for Women in STEM – Info session 1/24, deadline January 31st
- Bucknell received a grant from the Henry Luce Foundation to establish the Clare Booth Luce (CBL) Research Scholars Program for undergraduate women majoring in the physical sciences and engineering. CBL Research Scholars will perform 10 weeks of full-time research in the summer with a Bucknell faculty mentor and participate in CBL Research Scholar programming. CBL scholars will receive fellowships of $5,000, University housing for the summer, and approximately $1,500 for research materials and supplies. Each CBL Research Scholar must be a woman majoring in one of the supported disciplines (STEM majors in which women are underrepresented on Bucknell’s campus), a U.S. citizen, and a sophomore or junior at the time of application. An optional informational meeting will be held on January 24th at 7 PM in Academic West 116.
