The first position is a Chief of Staff Intern to the Chief Operating Officer position for Tech 2000, a fast-growing, exciting global leader in technology training and software application development. Your work as a Chief of Staff involves an immense opportunity to impact change within the rapidly growing organization. You will be tasked with implementing new corporate policies and procedures, reviewing organizational structures, implementing plans for new technology, training, staffing, products and services, and cross-departmental initiatives. The second peer pick is a full time position with Lutron Electronics’ Innovation Leadership Program. The company is offering a spot in their program for an Application Software Engineer which strives to develop skills and knowledge needed to succeed in an innovation-driven world. Lutron Electronics is the world leader in the design and manufacture of lighting controls, lighting control systems and shading solutions for residential and commercial applications. As an Application Software Engineer, you’ll be further expanding your knowledge of object oriented design concepts using C++/C#/Java, GUI development, design patterns and database architecture and network programming.
The Leadership Development Program not only gives you the possibility to gain skills and develop software in your engineering development team, but you’ll also participate in a monthly forum to discuss and share ideas, collaborate with interdisciplinary engineers, business managers, customers and suppliers. You’ll also take on different responsibilities, such as troubleshooting job sites, overseeing manufacturing, taking off site training courses or accompanying salespeople to showcase products to customers.
