Get the most out of your trip to the DC Career fair by joining this Bucknell Professional Network pre-fair field trip!
On February 24, students will visit Peck Madigan Jones, one of the largest independent government relations firms in Washington. They will learn from two Bucknell alumni, Drew Cantor and Jen Olson about their career paths in government and DC. Employees will explain what PMJ does, why it is important/relevant and what it means to be bipartisan. Lastly, entry level jobs and internships at PMJ and similar organizations in the DC area will be discussed.
This opportunity is open to 20 students, all class years and majors, sign up today (or by 2/18)!
Students should NOT sign up for the DC Career Fair if they signed up for this site visit as the site visit includes the fair.
Itinerary:
10:00AM Bus departs campus
2:00PM Arrive in DC-possible time for coffee/snack
2:45-4:30 PMJ Site Visit
4:30-6:00 Free time, time to walk to DC Career Fair-The Partnership For Public Service, 1100 New York Ave NW Suite 200 East Washington, DC 20005 (one mile walk)
6:00-8:00 DC Career Fair (more fair info)
12:30AM Bus returns to campus
Interested students must:
1. Sign up for site visit on the BRIDGE – by Wednesday, February 18
2. Come to the CDC to place your $20 refundable deposit for the bus within 2 days of registering on the BRIDGE
If these steps are not completed by the set deadlines your name will be removed from the trip to make room for students on the wait list.
