Sophie’s peer pick this week includes several paid internships at Spacebound, Inc – applications are due April 15th!

While perusing the BRIDGE, I could not help but notice that SpaceBound, Inc., a global distributor of hardware, electronics, software, office supplies and equipment, tech gadgets, peripherals, and accessories, was offering a multitude of internships in different fields for the duration of late May through September 2014. This paid internship would take place in LaGrange, Ohio, which is renowned as a location that has no rush-hour traffic from any location such as Hopkins Airport, Avon, Elyria, Medina, North Olmsted, North Ridgeville, or Brunswick!
If you chose to tackle the IT side of things, you would be in charge of web development and design, date compilation, and back end integration. If you wanted to pursue the sales department, you would test new strategies to increase revenue and profitability, work with the manufacturer management team to help manage date relative to promotions, rebates, and incentives, contact customers to discuss needs and get feedback on service, and other similar tasks. For the social media internship, you would be using and posting content to blogs, podcasts, community and social networking sites in support of SpaceBound’s current and strategic marketing initiatives in addition to performing additional duties involve tracking, measuring and analyzing social media metrics and publishing daily content changes using various internal and external social tools or interfaces. Finally, for the graphics department, you would be highly involved in working with the Marketing Department creating graphics for a variety of different projects for web and print, creating product images for various websites, working with a team to develop ideas for projects, and taking photos/videos of products for web use.
Without a doubt, any of these opportunities could help pilot your decision on what you want to do later in life with the business world, so do not hesitate to apply on the BRIDGE by Tuesday, April 15th!
