May 1st! Distress Call! Help me!
OK so it’s May 1st and if you are on the verge of putting out a distressed signal I am here to remind you that there is still time to stop by the CDC.
- Feeling like there are no more opportunities? That’s just silly! Jobs and Internships are STILL rolling in and are being posted on the BRIDGE …like 2 great job postings from BlueWolf , a Graphic Design Internship at Jolie Papier (ap due 5/16), Intern at St. Jude’s (ap due 5/10) or Harvard Business School (ap due 5/18) or go for 1 of the 3 AmerisourceBergen Internships (aps due 5/30)
- Or work at a summer camp like Camp Regis, Green Mountain Club, or Girl Scouts of America (aps all due 5/10) and next year we’ll help you translate those great skills onto your Resume!
- Mark your calendars for the Campus Philly’s Opportunity Fair on 5/24
- Considering graduate school? Check out Duke’s 10-month Masters of Management program or Stanford’s Summer Institute for General Management (SIGM) or a Master’s in Nanotechnology from UPenn
- Networking events are still happening…like these 4 in June
- We are OPEN through finals (except May 5 & 6th) and all through the summer!
- If you are graduating, remember we have Alumni Career Services (free and for a lifetime!)
- And last, but not least, join the 5,000 other Bucknellians on the LinkedIn Bucknell Alumni group!
- Need help getting started with LinkedIn? Check out this prezi (a fun, easy, quick presentation) to get you started!
- Another tip is to search “LinkedIn” on this blog and you’ll get lots more helpful info
Have I overwhelmed you? Well, I am sorry. I didn’t mean to. I was really just trying to reassure you that we are here and there are still lots of opportunities; so, if you are crying out “m’aidez” I hope this post has helped. And if you are simply singing May Day while you dance around the May Pole then continue on and enjoy the day!
But either way remember…we are here!
But you know I can’t leave you without referencing some (often obscure) song that ties in with this topic (of helping) and if you have picked up on my love of the Beatles then my selection is obvious.
