ELC Gallery Theater at 3:00 – 4:30 PM on Wednesday, March 3rd.
Eliza Smith Steinmeier, a 1994 Bucknell environmental studies graduate, is the environmental lawyer who organized the “Baltimore Harbor Waterkeeper.” She is now the Executive Director & Waterkeeper at Baltimore. She will speak on her experiences with that project on campus next Wednesday afternoon.
The Baltimore Harbor Waterkeeper organization works to optimize the quality and usability of water resources in the corner of the Chesapeake ecosytem around Baltimore. They use a range of methods including community awareness, local organization, citizen pollution-watch, and, of course, direct litigation.
